New Orleans Hotel Specials for the French Quarter Festival 2003 - Music

French Quarter Festival is a favorite local music showcase, which has grown over the years to become Louisiana’s largest free music festival with nearly 140 live performances featured throughout the French Quarter, from Canal Street to Esplanade Avenue and from Bourbon Street to the Mississippi River.

Fifteen stages, operating from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday (and until 9 p.m. on Sunday), present the best in New Orleans music, representing every genre from traditional and contemporary jazz to rhythm & blues and New Orleans funk, to brass bands, folk, gospel, classical and international. Even Cajun and zydeco, the popular music forms from southwest Louisiana, are spotlighted.

All performances are made possible by the Musicians Union -- Local 174-496/Music Performance Trust Fund and by over 50 entertainment sponsors, ranging from music clubs and restaurants to record companies and private individuals who support live music at this free community event.
