New Orleans Hotel Specials for
the French Quarter Festival 2003
Nearly 300,000 visitors and locals are expected to fill the French Quarter
for the 20th annual French Quarter Festival, April 10-13, 2003. Festival-goers
will revel in the spirit of New Orleans while enjoying a cultural showcase of
the Crescent City's finest food, music and fun as the streets of the historic
Vieux Carré (French Quarter) are transformed for three days into the largest
FREE music festival in Louisiana. Fifteen stages, operating from 11 a.m. until
10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and until 9 p.m. on Sunday, will showcase the best
in New Orleans music, representing every genre from traditional and contemporary
jazz to rhythm & blues and funk, Cajun & zydeco to classical and international.
French Quarter Festival begins with a T.G.I.F. (Thank Goodness It's Festival)
"Funraising" Party on Thursday, April 10, 7:00-10:00 p.m., at the new
Bourbon House, 144 Bourbon Street at Iberville. There will also be a special Prelude
Party held the same evening from 6-7 p.m. at the Valentino-Conti House, a beautifully
restored 1830s townhouse at 840 Conti Street. |
